Penn State Penn State: College of the Liberal Arts
HOMEHOUSING, OPPORTUNITY,MOBILITY, AND EQUITYRESEARCH LAB

Housing, Opportunity, Mobility, and Equity (HOME) is an interdisciplinary, collaborative social science lab providing academic research from Penn State. Our work involves researching housing, public health, and economic outcomes of low-income individuals benefiting from government-provided housing vouchers.

Our researchers come from unique backgrounds and disciplines to collaborate on demography studies. Demography is the scientific study of human populations. It focuses on population size, distribution, dynamic processes — births, health and mortality, internal and international migrations, population aging, changing family structure — and the demographics (statistical data) of population sub-groups by race, age, sex, education, income, employment, and many more characteristics.

For those interested in HOME’s research or the study of demography, we invite you to explore both our lab and the Demography program at Penn State.
